Our established colonies are fully functional, with a strong population of bees, and ready to produce honey immediately.
Our bees are hand-selected from the finest, healthiest hives by expert beekeepers to ensure strong genetics and excellent hive productivity. Raised in a controlled environment, they exhibit desirable traits such as high honey production, disease resistance and calm behaviour.
What's included -
- Eight or ten (depending on your size selection) frames of brood, honey and pollen
- An established mated queen bee
- A healthy population of worker bees
- A wooden super, which your bees will be securely packed into.
Pickup
All purchases of bee colonies made after February 2024 will be added to a waiting list, with pickup available from mid-October to February 2025. To order your bee colony, simply enter your desired pickup date. You will receive a call from one of our staff members when your bee colony is ready to be collected at least seven days in advance.
Delivery and installation
Delivery and installation across Metropolitan Melbourne and surrounding areas can also be arranged for a fee, otherwise pickup will be required from our warehouse. Should you wish to arrange delivery and/or installation, please contact us prior to placing an order as this cannot be facilitated through our website.
Please note, pick-up of bee colonies CANNOT be rescheduled due to the nature of this product unless notice is given at least three days in advance. If you are unable to pick-up your bee colony for any reason, you will need to make arrangements for someone else to collect your order.
